First it keeps dumping it back to demo mode and I have to reinstall the licenses again
2nd keeps crashing during a dry run every time tried different canned cycles still happening. I think damage may happen if I was running a job
3rd changed the work offset in x axis and it started the spindle up to 2000rpm now this is extremely dangerous. I have not been able to repeat the issue. I will do more test runs tomorrow or until I deem it safe.
I tried Mach 3 in the past as well and did not like it and it stills seems bad with Mach4
I’ve run commercial Cnc,s and we have MASSO controller on our other lathe They are not near the pain that Mach4 has given me this last week.
Seriously thinking of ditching the Mach 4 . Is anyone else having issues
To our knowledge, the license issue hasn’t come up with other users, so it sounds like there may be a couple of things stacking together on your setup. It would be best to get a call scheduled so we can remote in and get everything sorted out for you. Please respond to the email sent by support@sinecorecnc.com to set up a time!
Otherwise my general thoughts about each point:
You may have more than one shortcut you are trying to open the software with, or more likely you may be dealing with a OneDrive related issue.
We recently were notified of issues regarding the button on the screen “Dry Run” and it is being reviewed. If you would like to check the program currently, we would recommend to remove stock and run the program adjusting the feed and rapid overrides.
For the spindle starting unexpectedly, this is most likely related to CSS (G96) being active. If the spindle has been commanded on with M3 under CSS and is not stopped with M5 or cycle stop, any change in X position or work offset will cause the control to recalculate RPM based on diameter. If that diameter suddenly becomes smaller (such as when adjusting X), the spindle speed will increase accordingly. This can appear unexpected if CSS is still active in the background.
I know very little about windows as I am a mac user so help is very much appreciated
Remoting in might be the best but it is a bit late here now. What Timezone are you in?
The third issue is what I think as well but it was a big jump.
