Hey guys,
Just got mine and hooked up what came with the lathe. Is there an operator console or am I missing something? Do I have to get a separate PC or laptop? Is the Sinecore software or the Mach software that controls the lathe?
TIA
thanks,
Max

Hey Max!
It looks like we were able to help you through email before I saw this post, but I wanted to answer here as well in case anyone else has the same question later.
The machine is controlled through the SineCore/Mach software, which is built on Mach4 and customized for the SC-512L with help from MachMotion. We are also currently working on transitioning to Mach Elite.
A Windows computer is required to run the machine. The software can be downloaded from our website here:
Information about the software, licensing, and setup is also included in the email sent after ordering.
For anyone needing immediate help, the fastest way to reach us is by email or through the website.
I’m going to be setting mine up this weekend, should I plan for running a cat6 or USB cable and is it capable of wireless connectivity?
The machine connects directly to the control PC using the included Ethernet cable.
If you need a longer cable, a CAT6 Ethernet cable is a great choice. A direct Ethernet connection to the computer is the preferred setup for the most reliable communication.
If your computer does not have an Ethernet port, a USB-to-Ethernet adapter can be used, but we still prefer a computer with a built-in Ethernet port when possible.
At this time, we do not support wireless connectivity for the machine connection. A wired Ethernet connection is required.
