SC-512L Setup 8020 Stand

Just finished up the setup/install of the SC-512L in my shop. Looking forward to making some cool parts!

Custom bench assembled from 6060, 3060, and 3030 extruded aluminum. Dimensions are 1270mm (50") X 762mm (30"). Frame is assembled with 8020 end fasteners with M6 bolts. Legs are fitted with leveling casters.

Top is 1-1/4" high density laminated MDF. Base shelf is 1/2" birch cabinet grade plywood.

PC is mounted to an adjustable monitor mount and bolts to extruded aluminum frame.

Custom button box added with magnetic enclosure. Cycle-Start, Feed-Hold and Cycle-Stop buttons are integrated into Mach4/SineCore PCB.

Files will be posted on my GitHub repository

I’ll post more pics when I am granted privileges.

Really nice setup! Clean, practical, and well thought out. The added buttons are a great touch for functionality. I’m right-handed, so I’d probably shift it over, but your magnetic mounting makes that an easy adjustment. Great job overall! Is that a touchscreen monitor?

The monitor is a 15" 1920X1080 touch screen. It works well for quick basic operations like tool changes and menu toggles. The Logitech K400 wireless keyboard/mouse works best for most operations. (gcode, offsets, etc)

Below are some more pix of the monitor and button box.
