IMPORTANT:
- Homing behavior has been updated in this release.
- Tool offsets and work offsets should be checked before running a program after installing this update.
- Existing offsets may require a small adjustment due to changes in the machine’s homed reference position.
Lathe Canned Cycles
- Updated Lathe Canned Cycles to always include the initial positioning move at the start of each cycle, even when the previous cycle ends at the same position.
Tool and Work Offset Corrections
- Added additional saves to the Tool Offset correction functions to improve offset persistence.
- Correction fields now automatically reset to 0 after the Update button is pressed.
- Applied corrections are now reported in the status bar.
- Added a popup warning when attempting to apply a correction with a blank correction field.
Machine Warm-Up
- Added an optional 15-minute startup warm-up cycle.
- The warm-up gradually increases spindle speed to allow the spindle, machine, and home switches to stabilize before use.
- Added preparation checks for machine enable status, homing status, door status, and X-axis safe positioning before the warm-up can begin.
- The machine must be re-homed after the warm-up completes or is manually stopped.
Experimental Precision Home
- Added an optional experimental Precision Home mode in the Service tab.
- When enabled, the machine performs an additional slower homing pass to improve homing repeatability.
- Precision Home is optional and remains experimental while additional long-term testing is completed.
System
- Disabled MachMotion automatic backup/autosave behavior to reduce unnecessary background activity during machine operation.
- Removed the requirement for axes to be homed before switching lathe modes.
- Removed automatic A-axis homing when selecting ATC Mode.
- The A axis is now dereferenced when switching out of ATC Mode.
