Aluminum test piece

This is my first program on the Sinecore. I still have a long way to go but I feel its a good start.

Nice first part Juan! I had to do quite a bit of futzing to get the thread pitch right on my first threaded part. For me parting my brass part with the pecking worked great as it allowed the chips to clear before the next feed in. I think this could help with your aluminum parting as well.

Great job! What was the feedrate for the parting?

I have to double check but I think that is set to 10 in/min. I’m still changing settings and I just came back from vacation. but I noticed that my parts are .0200 out of tolerance. I think I will have to re run all the setup process to make sure I didn’t mess anything after doing the initial setup.

I will definitively try the pecking but I have to firgure out why i’m .02" out of tolerance first.

.020" is definitely significant. Depending on the software version you’re on, you might be running into an issue we’ve already fixed where offset corrections wouldn’t save in certain instances. It would be worth double checking your version before redoing everything. Either way if you want to confirm, just send us an email and we will help get to the bottom of it!
